Mineral Nutrition Technical Manager

The purpose of this position is to support growth in the Mineral Nutrition business by creating a compelling and differentiated position for our mineral nutrition products through an effective technical support platform. In this aim, the Mineral Nutrition Technical Manager will serve a key role in the design and management of R&D, both controlled and applied. Additionally, the Mineral Nutrition Technical Manager will be responsible for the effective translation of research and the subsequent deployment to the sales team and customers. Creating compelling technical stories that create the most commercial value for customers, nutritionists, key opinion leaders, and Company is the guiding principle for this role. Lastly, this position will represent the Mineral Nutrition business for product development projects, including Collaborative Research and any newly created or acquired products. Reports to the Vice President, Mineral Nutrition with close collaboration with Product Directors. Minimum of 10 years industry experience in technical/sales support with primary expertise in mineral nutrition Multi-species production knowledge would be preferred Previous product development experience helpful Strong research background preferred, balanced by a commercial bias Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrates the ability to make professional and compelling presentations to both internal and external customers Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships Can handle multiple priorities and work in a self-directed manner Proven track record of proactively accomplishing assigned goals and objectives Well organized, detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills Competency required with all Microsoft Office applications A strong teacher – able to share, teach and lead technical concepts and best practices to sales teams, both U.S. and international Must be willing to travel, including internationally, up to 50% overnight.
